The second wave. Hospitals are filling up again, mortality rates are rising and our social life is coming to a standstill. To manage the impact on society, an important task lies with the GGD regions; Track the virus, map it and prevent new infections. That’s easier said than done. Large-scale testing combined with source and contact investigations (BCO) will get a better handle on the situation. But the scale of this operation requires quite a bit of capacity. By the end of 2020, this could even reach 70,000 tests per day nationwide. So it is important to use test lines, staffing, materials and laboratories optimally.
Dashboard
Pipple is therefore developing a management dashboard for the Hart voor Brabant GGD region that does exactly this. It creates insight and visibility into utilization rates and testing capabilities. May monitor assumptions used in capacity planning. And it looks ahead. Based on forecasting models, data and scenario analysis, we are gaining a better understanding of how capacity and utilization is affected by changing conditions. Thus, the dashboard provides an overall view of the status and keeps the tests and BCO optimally deployed. In addition, the data obtained allows many other stakeholders to quickly understand the current situation in this region. In short, data is the key.
