The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool. –William Shakespeare

‘Wise men’ will participate in Pipple lecture #13 on 20 January! During this lecture we dive into the magical world of Generative Deep Learning, an indispensable link to teach AI robots to think like humans.

Since time immemorial, man has been creating paintings, music and stories that inspire and make people move. The ability to invent and create new things is one of the most powerful qualities that man has. It is therefore without a doubt that AI robots must also possess this gift if they are to be able to think and act like humans.

Pipple lecture #13
In this lecture Stan Wintraecken and Maurice Peters will introduce you to so-called LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) networks. One of the most widely used and recognized methods to generate sequencial data such as text or musical notes. During the lecture we will explain the basic concept and apply the technique together in a hands-on tutorial in which you will eventually get your own text generator LSTM network working.

Applications
However, use cases are not only in chatbots or musicbots, LSTM networks are also used to predict share prices and make product recommendations to customers. We also dare to say with certainty that in the future even news articles and books generated with an LSTM network will be read.

When: Wednesday 20 January
Time: 18.00 to 20.30
Where: Online
