Why do you work at Pipple?
For me, Pipple is the ideal combination of challenging content and an inspiring work environment.
What gives you energy, both at work and outside of work?
I love learning and discovering new things.
Upskilling means mastering new techniques and tools or diving into a new client domain. Outside of work, I do this with languages, for example. I love being in another country and being able to speak the language of the people there. It always provokes special reactions. After Spanish and French, I’m now learning Indonesian, and I’m not just learning that from a book. I’m currently living in Bali for a year, where I can experience the language and culture firsthand. For me, that’s the ultimate way to challenge myself.
What are you proud of in your role or team?
Looking at myself: learning new things. For example, at the beginning of this year, I knew nothing about data engineering. I’ve since independently built and launched a complete application. It takes time, but I’m finally succeeding. I’ve also been working at Pipple for over six years now, and a lot has changed in that time. But there’s one thing that has never changed: how we work together as a team. Always with positive energy, hard work, and genuine attention to each other and the customer. I’m proud that we’ve managed to maintain that through all these years.
What do people often not know about you?
I stopped drinking coffee at work because I react far too strongly to it. After one cup, I feel super productive for a while, but then I crash, and if I drink too much, I even start shaking at my laptop. So now I mainly drink water. Perhaps less stressful, but much better for my focus.
What’s your most memorable Pipple moment?
My very first encounter with Pipple, over seven years ago now. I met Pipple at the National Econometricians Day, a large job fair where companies present themselves. At many stands, I got slick talk, but at Pipple, I had a half-hour conversation about football, travel, and all sorts of other things. At the end, I had to ask if they had a flyer about what they actually do. It was so relaxed and authentic, exactly why I signed up. And that feeling from back then has always stayed with me.
